All through his long tenure at Balfour Beatty has served in various capacities in the following Balfour Beatty companies, Director and Vice President of Construction Management Services for Heery International, located in Atlanta and has served as Vice President and Area Manager for Balfour Beatty Construction Bahamas Limited and Balfour Beatty Bahamas Limited in the Caribbean. President, Constructiones Balfour Beatty de Venezuela C.A. South America. Mr. Oxford also was Vice President of Bay West Development Corporation in The Bahamas (a company specifically set up to develop building and commercial projects in The Bahamas).
He marketed and managed large complex construction programs and has served as technical director for technically difficult construction projects for Balfour Beatty and other contractors. He has many years of experience in slip-forming, heavy civil construction including rail and tunnel projects and a wealth of construction knowledge and resources to his projects. He has been technically innovative whenever a problem warrants special attention.
He has been instrumental in writing many company procedures and systems from the computerization of records to implementation of special construction techniques and systems.
He invented US Patent # 5,855,181 for a fixed shank plow anchor. The patent was granted 1999.
